New Start’s First For Talent Match

Our lovely friends over at New Start have announced that their Leyland Road Hostel will be taking part in the Merseyside Youth Association’s Talent Match Programme – one of the first hostels to take part in the project.

Talent Match has a team of mentors throughout the Liverpool City Region who work closely with individuals providing Intensive support to help them gain sustainable employment. The support available is not time bound and is offered based on the individual needs of each young person.

Liverpool City Region Talent Match is an exciting, creative programme that will develop real skills and meet the demands of both young people and employers. The programme offers intensive support through a voluntary relationship with a dedicated Intensive Mentor who will develop a personalised pathway programme for each young person. Young People are challenged to become motivated and inspired, building on their existing skills, knowledge and interests.

At Leyland Road there will be a six-week programme giving residents the opportunity to try new and exciting things. The sessions are delivered in a fun, interactive way in surroundings that are comfortable to each residents needs. Each week Talent Match offers something different, whether its outdoor pursuits, learning new skills or gaining an accreditation.
